2017 Holiday Walk Info

This page contains overall descriptions of my participation in the Dow Gardens Holiday Walk program.  The specifics change a little bit from year to year.  If you are not familiar with this program, it is a wonderful gift to the community from The Dow Gardens and well worth your time to walk the candle-lit garden paths at night. I hope to see you there!

Wednesday, Dec. 7 5:30 - 7:30 in the Conservatory for the cart tours

(The Conservatory is also known as the greenhouse or the butterfly house.)

The Wednesday cart tours are for folks who would have trouble walking the paths during the regular hours.  Please contact the Dow Gardens for more details

John Anderson and I play piano/sax duets from 5:30 - 7:30.  During that time, we will be joined by The BellaTones - a group of six young ladies - who will add some singing to the program.  They will probably join us around 6:00 and stay for about a half hour.

Thursday, Dec. 8 5:30 - 6:30 in the Conservatory

(a.k.a., the greenhouse or the butterfly house.)

John Anderson and I play piano/sax duets from 5:30 - 6:30.  It is a beautiful setting with the poinsettia tree and the rest of the Conservatory decorated with Christmas trimmings.

Saturday, Dec. 10 5:30 - 6:10 Caroling on the porch of the Dow Homestead

(The Dow Homestead is the tall house near Main St. at the back of the gardens)

I will lead a group of carolers who are alumni from the various shows for which I’ve directed or assisted with the music.  The potential age range for the kids is now from 10-years-old to 26, so please come enjoy the fun.  There are also some “much older” kids who qualify...  The music is a mix of sacred and secular seasonal songs with unison and multi-part harmony.  If you would like to participate in this event, click here!
